A Song For Father's Day

Sorry for the lack of postings recently, I've been very busy promoting the new CD and on the road a lot this spring. Here's a little tune I wrote with Jack Sundrud and Helen Darling that's appropriate for this weekend. I hope it's a small consolation for my absence from the blog!

Yes, I'm sure we all miss your missives, but your MySpace bulletins and mailing list updates give a glimmer. It's great to know that you're career is keeping you busy. That's not a bad situation to be in during this general downturn.

Thanks, especially, for "A Song for Father's Day." As soon as I heard it last week, I posted it on our family blog. I dedicated to my father (84 and going strong) and to the other fathers in our family, both those still with us and those who have passed. It is a beautiful song, and you and Jack have created a beautiful rendition. The video, though simple, is very nicely done.

By the way, Happy Father's Day (and Grandfather's Day) to you!
Tim

Very nice! Nice song and nice video. "Rose colored memories" ~ that's a great line. Seems like everyone I'm reading today is talking (or singing) about their dads ~ including me. Thanks, Craig.

Craig— Thanks for adding my new blog to your list, and thanks for stopping by and commenting. As you may have seen in the intro/rationale to my blog (Why another blog?), your work here was a considerable inspiration to my decision to start up my "Tomorrow is Forever, and Forever is Now—Tim McMullen's Missives and Tomes" blog.

Thanks again, and many times over, for all the inspiration I find in all your creative endeavors.

Tim
